GO… The expressions L/240, L/120 and L/360 are often seen in specifications or load tables. But not everyone knows that they actually stand for deflection limit. Now that we know that, what is a deflection limit? And what's it for? Steel, like all other materials, deforms or gives slightly when loaded. When unloaded, the steel will spring back to its original shape, but the designer or specified often wants to limit this amount of deformation, or deflection, in his or her design.

Use solid or partially blended color mixes of clays to make simulated cabochons that look like semi-precious stones. "Marbled" mixes of similar colors, and metallic colors with their bits of sparkle are often especially nice. HEARTS & SWIRLS Three of the first and two of the second. Dust molds with powder or cornstarch before using then press in any softened polymer clay . Molded pieces can be stretched, flattened, indented — altered any way you like — before baking .
